Description APF 190 T
The APF 190 T blackberry variety is characterized by its early maturation and the ability to bear fruit on both previous year's canes and current season's growing canes, making it suitable for dessert consumption. The plant is an upright medium-sized bush with moderate cane productivity. Two-year-old canes have a brownish-purple hue and remain upright, while one-year-old canes are reddish and covered with a slight waxy bloom, being thornless. Leaves are of medium size, dark green, ruffled, and slightly twisted; leaflet margins have medium-sharp teeth.

Fruiting branches of moderate density with a slight waxy bloom form conical berries weighing about 7.8 g. The berries are dark purple, containing approximately 10% sugar, which gives them a sweet taste and pleasant aroma. The flesh is of medium density, juicy and aromatic, providing a high taste score in fresh form – 4.0 points.

From an agronomic perspective, the plant demonstrates moderate drought resistance and low heat tolerance. Winter hardiness is not high: at temperatures dropping to -17 °C, minor damage to immature one-year-old canes is observed, but they recover quickly. Diseases and pests have minimal impact on the plant, confirming its good resistance to aggressive environmental factors.
