Description SALUT Distant Eastern
Salut Distant Eastern is a medium-age parsnip variety recommended for cultivation in light soil enterprises. The plant has an erect or semi-spreading leaf rosette with a diameter of 55–60 cm and a height of up to 65–70 cm, ensuring good root system development.

The root crop of this variety is long – from 25 to 40 cm in length and 4–8 cm in diameter, with a broadly inverted-triangular shape. The skin is grayish-white and rough, while the inner part is white, aromatic, and rich in vitamins and mineral salts. The mass of one root crop is 160–195 g.

Salut Distant Eastern is characterized by high yield: from 2.1 to 3.5 kg/m² depending on growing conditions. The variety is resistant to fungal and bacterial diseases and is one of the most frost-resistant parsnips – it withstands frosts down to -6–8 °C. Thanks to these properties, it is widely used in both soup and sweet cuisine, similar to carrots, and is well preserved after harvesting.
