Calypso is a high-yielding wheat variety characterized by high cold and winter hardiness, making it ideal for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe region of Ukraine. The variety is medium-maturing, with plant height ranging from 127 to 138 cm, and exhibits high resistance to lodging, shattering, and grain sprouting in the ear. The grain is large, oval, gray-green in color, with a 1000-grain weight of approximately 37 g. The crude protein content is 9.2-10.6%, ensuring good baking properties. The potential yield of this variety reaches 8.2 t/ha, with the recommended seeding rate being 4 million seeds per hectare.
