Rose Tanalepin

Aesthetic Perfection: Why Choose 'Tanalepin'

In the world of rose breeding, the German nursery Rosen-Tantau Mathias Tantau Nachfolger has long set the quality standard, and the 'Tanalepin' variety is a vivid example. This is a classic hybrid tea rose, created in close collaboration with Hans Jurgen Evers and Keisei Rose Nurseries. Unlike modern park roses focused on landscape mass, 'Tanalepin' was developed as a benchmark for cut flowers and formal flowerbeds.

Key Features of the Variety

• Flower Architecture: The dense, double structure of the petals gives the bud an impeccable shape that is maintained even during prolonged flowering.
• Color Palette: A delicate, pure pink shade that is perfect for creating monochrome garden compositions.
• Flowering Period: This is a perpetual flowering variety, making it a strategically important choice for those who want to see their garden in full bloom throughout the warm season.

Strengths and Weaknesses

The main strength of 'Tanalepin' is its predictability and reliability, inherent in German breeding. The bloom is resistant to weather surprises and retains its freshness for a long time. However, there is one nuance to consider: this variety is practically odorless. For many professional florists, this is an advantage — such flowers do not trigger allergies and do not clash with the scent of other plants in a bouquet, but fans of "classic" fragrant roses might miss the familiar scent.

Who is this variety for?

'Tanalepin' is an ideal solution for aesthetic-minded gardeners who value perfect lines and consistent flowering. It does not require complex adaptation and is perfect for creating specimen plantings or classic rose gardens. This is the choice for those who prefer the quality of the "German school" and are looking for a variety that will look as flawless in the garden as it does in breeders' catalogs.
