Rina Herhold — a decorative tea-hybrid rose, distinguished by its unusual and attractive flower coloration. Petals have a cream-white or lemon-cream base tone with a vivid, watercolor-like red-pink edging. Flowers are large, double, with 60 to 100 petals, measuring 9 to 12 cm in diameter. Petals are curled downward, and the center of the flower is slightly twisted, giving the bud an elegant shape. Blooming is abundant and prolonged, with flowers possessing a delicate and pleasant fragrance. Each stem produces one large flower, making this variety ideal for cut flowers and bouquet arrangements.
Rina Herhold rose bushes are strong, upright, reaching heights of 90 to 150 cm and a diameter of about 70 cm. The rose exhibits high frost resistance and good drought tolerance, enabling it to thrive through both cold winters and hot summers. Leaves are healthy and deep green, with a minimal number of thorns, simplifying plant care. The variety has moderate disease resistance, but with proper care and feeding, it demonstrates steady and abundant blooming throughout the season.
For successful planting, two main periods are recommended — spring (April–May) and autumn (September). Prior to planting, the site should be prepared by incorporating fertilizers into the soil. The seedling should be treated with a root stimulant, then thoroughly watered and mulched. The rose looks excellent both in flowerbeds and in group plantings, and can also be grown in containers, expanding its use in garden design.
