DescriptionORLOVSKIY VP 3
ORLOVSKIY VP 3— a clonal rootstock for cherry trees, developed by FGBNU «FIO Plant Breeding». This is a vigorous tree with an erect growth habit, which quickly starts bearing fruit and provides a medium yield from 67 to 138 c/ha. The rootstock is distinguished by high winter hardiness and resistance to cocklebur disease, making it suitable for cultivation in all regions of the country.
The key feature of ORLOVSKIY VP 3 is excellent rooting of green cuttings (92–95 %) and good seed germination. Shoots are of medium thickness, branched, brownish-brown, and leaves are elliptical, dark green with a finely toothed margin. Thanks to high physiological compatibility with various cherry varieties, plants are easily integrated into existing plantings.
The rootstock is suitable both for traditional horticulture and microclonal propagation. Its resistance to diseases, including moniliosis, makes it a reliable choice for the long-term development of fruit orchards. ORLOVSKIY VP 3 ensures stable growth and productivity, allowing gardeners to plan harvests with confidence in the quality and quantity of fruit.
