HAVSKAYA

HAVSKAYA reseda is an annual decorative plant reaching 30–40 cm in height, belonging to the family of Resedaceae. It blooms from June until late autumn, adding a delicate aroma to the garden and balcony boxes thanks to small greenish flowers gathered in pyramidal inflorescences.

The plant is sun-loving, cold-hardy, and moisture-loving, yet it does not tolerate excessive wetness. It prefers fertile soils with good drainage capability. To obtain a uniform germination, seeds must be stratified at a temperature of +10 °C.

HAVSKAYA reseda is widely used in gardening: it can be planted in mixed borders, along paths, near gazebos and terraces, as well as grown in balcony boxes and vases. When sowing directly into the ground, plants are transplanted with a clump of earth in the latter half of May, leaving a distance of 15–20 cm between them. For the seedling method, seeds are sown at the beginning of April in pots; seedlings appear within 6–10 days.

Thus, this is a versatile decorative plant that is easy to grow and adds freshness and aroma both to open areas of the garden and to enclosed spaces of the home.
