Rootstock Avatar

The 'Avatar' rootstock is a first-generation hybrid created by GREENOMICA LTD. It is designed for grafting various crops, including cucumbers, melons, and watermelons, which significantly improves their growth and yield.

The main feature of this rootstock is its strong root system, capable of developing in saline and compacted soils. This makes it particularly valuable for growing on infected soils where traditional varieties often suffer from limited access to nutrients. Additionally, 'Avatar' is resistant to a range of viral diseases (CMV) and fungal pathogens (Foc, For, Fom), ensuring more stable plant growth.

When applied to cucumbers, the rootstock extends the fruiting period, increases yield, and improves marketable output. On melons, it promotes overall yield increase and higher average fruit weight. For watermelons and other medium-height hybrids with weak root systems, 'Avatar' provides a massive vegetative mass, improving resistance to root rots and increasing overall fruit size. The rootstock is also cold-hardy, withstands temperature fluctuations and soil salinity, making it a universal solution for various climatic conditions.
