VITALLI F1 rootstock is a hybrid rootstock specifically developed for grafting watermelons, cucumbers, and melons onto luffa. It features a powerful root system that ensures stable plant nutrition even at low soil temperatures (up to +6–8 °C). Thanks to its resistance to root rots and Fusarium, the use of fungicides is not required, making cultivation more economical and environmentally friendly.
The VITALLI rootstock increases yield and promotes the formation of large, sweet fruits. Advantages are particularly noticeable in northern regions: plants mature faster, are more stress-resistant, and their potential is fully realized even under unfavorable climatic conditions. To achieve maximum results, it is recommended to use it with early and premium hybrid watermelon varieties.
The grafting technology on the VITALLI rootstock includes cleft grafting or approach grafting, where the rootstock and scion are in the same phase of development – opening of the first true leaf. After grafting, plants are kept in a greenhouse at 95–96% humidity and +24–25 °C for seven days, after which they are gradually acclimatized to open conditions. Care includes complex fertilizer feeding, hardening before field planting, and regular watering during drought periods. Thanks to these features, VITALLI has become a popular choice among farmers and gardeners seeking to increase the yield of melon crops.
