MONOLITH – first-generation hybrid (Cucurbita), developed by GREENOMICA LTD. It is intended as a rootstock for melon crops, including watermelon and cantaloupe.
When using MONOLITH F1 as the root system, watermelon and cantaloupe plants show increased growth vigor and earlier fruiting. This leads to a significant increase in the yield of standard produce: fruits become larger, and their flesh becomes denser and less fibrous.
The hybrid has a good vegetative apparatus, which contributes to the accumulation of a larger amount of sugars in the fruits. As a result, sweet and juicy berries with improved flesh structure and increased yield compared to traditional rootstocks are obtained.
