Description
The Vera raspberry is an early-maturing variety developed at the Research Institute of Fruit Growing in Barnaul. Plants reach a height of 170 to 200 cm, forming a medium-sized, compact, slightly spreading bush that actively produces suckers. Berries ripen early and uniformly, starting in early July, allowing for a quick harvest.
Vera raspberry berries are red, medium-sized, weighing 1.8 to 2.7 grams. They have an acidic-sweet taste and firm drupelet attachment, facilitating harvesting and transportation. The variety boasts high yields, ranging from 10 to 12 tons per hectare, with each bush producing 1.6 to 2 kg of berries.
The variety is highly resistant to spider mites and winter hardiness, making it reliable for cultivation in the Volga-Vyatka and Western Siberian regions. Additionally, Vera raspberry is only weakly affected by purple spotting, reducing the need for frequent application of protective agents. Bushes are well-adapted to various soils and growing conditions, making this variety attractive for gardeners and farmers.
