Late-ripening variety, obtained at the All-Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Selection from crossing the varieties Rote Schpitzlese and Minnesota. Breeders: L.V. Bayanova, V.E. Dzhafarova. Since 2009, included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements approved for use in the Central Region.
Strong-growing, semi-spreading bush with a dense crown. One-year-old growing shoots are thick, with a pinkish 'tan', sparsely hairy. Buds are small, deviated 45° from the shoot, sit on a long stalk. The petiole scar is narrow.
Leaf five-lobed, large or medium-sized, gray-green. Leaf blade slightly wrinkled, slightly folded along main veins, thin, non-leathery, hairless, positioned horizontally. Lobes are short, blunt, the central lobe exceeds the lateral ones. The notch between lobes is shallow. Upper sides of lateral lobes lie on the same line. Angle between main veins of lateral lobes is straight. Basal lobes are weakly developed. Base of leaf has a small notch. Teeth are large, blunt, with a distinct 'claw'. Petiole is long, thin, with a pinkish 'tan' at the base.
Flowers are small, green, cup-shaped. Calyx is weakly expressed. Sepals are green, slightly twisted, not fused. Petals are small, narrow. Inflorescences are long (up to 14.0 cm with petiole), dense, one-sided, arched, with long petioles. Axis is medium thickness, hairy, with cherry-colored hue.
Berries are medium-sized (average mass 0.5 g, maximum 0.8 g), dark red, one-seeded, round or slightly flattened, tart-sweet, of universal use. Pedicels are short, curved, densely situated. Chemical composition: dry matter — 9.9%, total sugars — 6.6%, titratable acidity — 1.9%, ascorbic acid — 57.0%, P-active substances — 434.0 mg/100 g, pectic substances — 8.3%.
Cold-hardy, high-yielding variety. Average yield over multiple years is 15.6 t/ha (2.2 kg/plant at planting scheme 0.5 x 2.8 m), in favorable weather conditions — 18.9 t/ha (2.7 kg/plant). Resistant to powdery mildew, susceptible to anthracnose and septoria.
Advantages of the variety: cold hardiness, high yield, good berry flavor, high quality of processed products (jelly, juice), resistance to powdery mildew.
Disadvantages of the variety: susceptible to leaf spot diseases.
