Strawberry Perlina

Operational advantages of the runnerless strawberry variety «Perlyna»

For an agronomist or a farm operator, choosing the «Perlyna» variety is primarily about reducing operational overhead. The main feature that simplifies cultivation is its runnerless nature. This fundamentally changes the workflow on the plantation: you completely eliminate the labor-intensive task of pruning vegetative mass, which in standard varieties consumes up to 30-40% of manual labor time during the season.

Agrotechnics and practical application

Bred by the Institute of Horticulture of the NAAS, this variety was developed specifically for efficient cultivation in the Ukrainian climate. From an operational perspective, it is a highly convenient material for high-density planting, as well as for container or raised-bed farming. Because «Perlyna» does not waste energy producing runners, the plant's metabolic resources are fully directed toward the generative phase — berry development.

• Dietary potential: the fruit features a specific biochemical profile suitable for therapeutic nutrition.
• Maintenance: the absence of a "carpet" of runners allows for better weed control and easier soil cultivation without the risk of damaging daughter plants.
• Yield: consistent harvesting over an extended period due to the plant’s compact structure.

Working with «Perlyna» is comfortable: the bushes do not become overgrown, which ensures excellent ventilation, reduces the risk of fungal diseases, and streamlines harvesting. You get clean, easily accessible berries with minimal effort spent on weeding and routine maintenance.
