GKH 2624

GKH 2624 — a high-yielding hybrid rapeseed of Hungarian selection, distinguished by high productivity and adaptability to various growing conditions. The potential yield of the hybrid under production conditions ranges from 4.7 to 5.6 tons per hectare, reaching 5.4-6.1 tons per hectare on variety trial plots. The hybrid is characterized by high branching and low stature, with plant height up to 130 cm, which contributes to stable yield formation. Seed oil content is 46%, ensuring high oil production efficiency.

GKH 2624 exhibits high resistance to lodging (9 points) and good winter hardiness (8 points), as well as moderate resistance to major diseases such as phoma and downy mildew. The hybrid is drought-tolerant and resistant to rapeseed flea beetle, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under various climatic conditions. Seeds have low glucosinolate content (≤17 μmol) and erucic acid content (≤0.2%), as well as high oleic acid content (66%), positively affecting the quality of the obtained oil.

GKH 2624 is recommended for cultivation in Central-Western regions of Ukraine with a seeding rate of 450-550 thousand viable seeds per hectare. Sowing should be carried out from early August to early September at a depth of up to 3.5 cm. The hybrid is adapted to various cultivation technologies, including No-Till and Mini-Till, enabling efficient use in modern agrotechnical systems. Seeds are supplied in bags of 1.5 million viable seeds, treated with a fungicidal seed treatment for protection against diseases.
