Radish Karmen

Radish Carmen variety is a mid-season or early-maturing variety with a maturity period of 20 to 30 days, depending on climatic conditions and soil type. The root crops have a bright red or carmine-red color, round and smooth shape with a diameter of 3-4 cm and a weight of 10 to 30 grams. The radish flesh is snow-white or with a slight pinkish tint, juicy, dense, and without bitterness, making it particularly attractive for fresh consumption. The foliage is medium-sized and green, while the root crops are distinguished by resistance to bolting, cracking, and bitterness formation.

Radish Carmen is characterized by high yield, reaching 1.5 to 4 kg per square meter, making it in demand on the market. The seeds are coated with a shell containing protective, nutritional, and stimulating substances, which promotes good germination and plant development. Radish grows well in both open and closed ground, with the possibility of using film or agrofabric for covering. The optimal temperature for growing is +18-20 °C, however, the variety is resistant to negative temperatures, which allows for early sowing and growing it in various seasons.

Carmen is recommended for growing on fertile soils, adhering to the sowing rate of 200-240 pieces per square meter and a distance between plants of 10-20 cm in rows and 2-3 cm between plants in a row. The harvest is collected from April to October, while the root crops maintain their market appearance and withstand transportation well. Thanks to its taste qualities, disease resistance, and ease of cultivation, radish Carmen is an excellent choice for gardeners and farmers seeking to obtain a quality and tasty harvest.
