CARTESIO

Winter wheat variety CARTESIO is a high-yielding, intensive type suitable for cultivation throughout Ukraine. This variety belongs to the glabrous (lutescent) wheat types, characterized by low stature with plant heights up to 83 cm and a medium-density long ear. CARTESIO exhibits high resistance to lodging and shattering, ensuring yield preservation and simplifying harvest.

Genetically, CARTESIO shows high resistance to powdery mildew; however, fungicide treatments are recommended for protection against other diseases. It also demonstrates high drought tolerance, rated at 9 points, enabling cultivation in both arid regions and areas with sufficient rainfall. Under favorable climatic conditions, the variety produces high yields and high-quality grain, while in drier areas, it maintains high total yield, albeit with some reduction in grain quality.

Yield of CARTESIO varies by region: from 6 tons per hectare in the Ternopil region to a maximum of 7.37 tons per hectare in the Khortytsia region. Thanks to its agronomic traits and adaptability, this variety is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve stable and high-quality winter wheat yields.
