Zoryana Plejada is a medium-maturing, high-yielding winter wheat variety developed for cultivation in western and central-northern regions of Ukraine. The variety is characterized by high productivity and is adapted to conditions of the Polesie and Forest-Steppe zones. Plants reach a height of about 95 cm, have medium-sized ears and high thousand-grain weight, contributing to good yields. Optimal sowing periods are mid-late, with a seeding rate of 3.7 to 4.7 million seeds per hectare. The origin of the variety is Poland, confirming its quality and reliability. Grain quality is characterized by medium protein content and high gluten content, ensuring good baking properties and belonging to quality group B. The variety exhibits high winter hardiness (8 points) and lodging resistance (8 points), making it a reliable choice for regions with variable climatic conditions. Additionally, Zoryana Plejada demonstrates high drought resistance, rated at 9-10 points, which is especially important for central and southern regions of Ukraine. The variety also shows high resistance to major wheat diseases, including leaf septoria, brown rust, ear fusarium, and powdery mildew, with resistance ratings of 8-9 points. This reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications and promotes more environmentally friendly production. Best regions for cultivating Zoryana Plejada include Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipro, Donetsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Poltava, Sumy, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions.
