Vigadka

Winter wheat variety Vigadka (Triticum aestivum L.) is a medium-height, medium-maturing variety with high cold resistance and resistance to lodging. This variety has been included in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2019 and is recommended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Polissia zones. Vigadka belongs to the erythrospermum variety and is characterized by high genetic yield potential, which reached 6.19 to 7.79 tons per hectare in various trials. The grain of this variety has high quality, meeting the requirements of premium wheat. It is a versatile type, suitable for cultivation after various preceding crops, both under conventional and intensive technologies. To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to protect plants from diseases and pests. The seeding rate is 4.5 million germinating seeds per hectare after a fallow, and 5.5 million after non-fallow preceding crops. In field conditions, Vigadka demonstrates tolerance to major harmful diseases, making it a reliable choice for farmers. The high cold resistance of the variety, rated 7 points, and drought tolerance ensure stable growth and yield under adverse climatic conditions. Thanks to these characteristics and grain quality, Vigadka is a promising variety for cultivation in Ukraine, capable of meeting the requirements of both wheat producers and processors.
