SKIPETR 2 is a highly productive and resilient variety of soft winter wheat, representing a grain crop variant with high yield potential and resistance to adverse conditions. The plants of this variety have an average height ranging from 77 to 89 cm, featuring a short or medium stem and intermediate tillering, which ensures resistance to lodging. The wheat ear is spindle-shaped, white in color, of medium length from 10 to 12 cm and medium density, with a grain count of 46 or more. The grain is large, round, red in color with an average groove, making it in demand for the food industry, particularly for flour and bread production. SKIPETR 2 is distinguished by its high winter hardiness and drought resistance at all stages of vegetation, allowing for successful cultivation in various climatic conditions. The variety demonstrates complex resistance to leaf diseases, including moderate resistance to snow mold and septoria, as well as resistance to powdery mildew. Meanwhile, it is moderately susceptible to brown rust, which requires attention during agronomic activities. The waxy coating on the ear and the sheath of the flag leaf is strongly expressed, providing additional protection for the plant against adverse factors. The average yield of the variety in the Central region is about 47.9 c/ha, confirmed by the results of competitive trials, where the average yield reached 5.95 t/ha, which is 0.68 t/ha higher than the Skipetr standard. The maximum yield was recorded at the level of 8.4 t/ha. Due to its qualities and stable productivity, the SKIPETR 2 variety is widely used in agriculture for producing high-quality food grain.
