Description COLLEGA
COLLEGA is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), characterized by medium maturity and dwarf stature. Plants reach a height of 68 to 93 cm, possess lodging resistance higher than the Palpich variety, and have good winter hardiness exceeding the Skiifanka variety. The vegetative period ranges from 229 to 268 days, allowing for effective cultivation in the Central and South-Foothill zones of Krasnodar Krai, as well as in the Mountain zone of Stavropol Krai. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 37 to 48 grams, indicating high grain quality. Drought resistance is at the standard level, and disease resistance is moderate: the variety shows resistance to brown rust and moderate susceptibility to powdery mildew and glume blotch.

COLLEGA is recommended for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including northern, southern, central, and western regions, ensuring a profitability level of 30-35%. For optimal crop development, proper selection of sowing dates is important: for winter wheat, to which COLLEGA belongs, Ukraine recommends sowing dates from September 25 to October 5. When selecting seeds, consider the reproduction, breeding, and adaptability of the variety to specific growing conditions, which contributes to obtaining stable and high yields.

Grains of the COLLEGA wheat variety are primarily used for flour production, which is suitable for baking black bread due to its baking qualities comparable to filler wheat. The maximum yield of this variety reached 87.6 centners per hectare, confirming its high productivity and economic attractiveness for agricultural producers.
