Barentus

Wheat variety Barentus is an early, low-growing, and high-yielding winter wheat variety intended for cultivation in southern and eastern regions of Ukraine. This variety belongs to the 'Valuable' quality group and is a glumeless lutescent type. Barentus is characterized by high winter hardiness and drought tolerance, allowing it to thrive even under adverse climatic conditions. The recommended seeding rate ranges from 4.2 to 5.5 million seeds per hectare, depending on sowing dates, with optimal sowing periods from September 10 to 25.

One of the key features of Barentus is its high resistance to major leaf and ear diseases, including powdery mildew, septoria, and fusarium ear blight. Thanks to this, the variety maintains plant health and ensures stable yields. Barentus is ideal for late sowing and can achieve ultra-high yields even under challenging weather and soil conditions, demonstrating a yield potential of 7 to 10 tons per hectare.
