EVKSIN

EVKSIN – a perennial semi-shrub up to 1.0–1.2 m tall with a thick woody root that ensures the plant's resilience to adverse conditions. The vegetation period lasts 190–200 days; mass flowering begins in mid-August and continues until early September, after which seeds mature in early October. The plant reproduces both by seeds and vegetative woody cuttings, which allows for the rapid reproduction of high-quality cultures.

EVKSIN mugwort adapts perfectly to open areas with loose soil and exhibits good drought resistance. During the mass flowering period it accumulates a maximum amount of essential oil, reaching 0.4–0.5% of the raw mass. The oil has an orange-yellow hue and a pronounced pleasant aroma, making the plant valuable both in the pharmaceutical and food industries.

The variety is known for its high taste qualities and wide range of applications in folk medicine. It is used for preparing infusions and decoctions possessing anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It is recommended to grow EVKSIN in the central region and southern regions, where climatic conditions contribute to its growth and development.
