Richard is a high-yielding sunflower hybrid developed for cultivation under the herbicide Granstar. It is characterized by a vegetation period of approximately 105 days, plant height of 140-160 cm, and a head diameter of 22-24 cm. The hybrid has a well-balanced structure in height and developmental phases, which promotes uniform maturation and harvest. The 1000-seed weight is 67-74 g, oil content is 49-51%, and moisture content is 21-22%, ensuring high oil yield.
The hybrid Richard is resistant to major sunflower diseases such as rust, fusarium, gray and white mold, and also exhibits resistance to seven races of downy mildew, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe regions of Ukraine. It also demonstrates high drought tolerance (8 points) and resistance to lodging and shattering. Richard responds well to mineral fertilizer application, enabling full realization of its yield potential, which can reach 47 c/ha.
This hybrid is technologically advanced and recommended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe zones of Ukraine. It is adapted to modern agrotechnologies, particularly the use of the herbicide Granstar, which ensures effective weed control and contributes to increased yield. Richard combines high productivity, disease resistance, and tolerance to adverse conditions, making it an advantageous choice for farmers.
