Sunflower MAS 87IR is a mid-early linoleic hybrid with a vegetation period of 103 to 112 days. Medium-height plants with a strong root system and good leafiness, ensuring reliable rooting and resistance to various soil-climatic conditions. The hybrid’s head is very convex and slightly inclined, with a 1000-seed mass ranging from 41 to 55 grams, and black seeds. The hybrid features high seed oil content, reaching 52–55%, making it attractive for producing high-quality oil. MAS 87IR demonstrates high yield potential, up to 50 centners per hectare, and resistance to a wide range of stress factors and diseases. It is drought-tolerant, lodging-resistant, and shatter-resistant, and also resistant to five races of downy mildew (A–E). Additionally, the hybrid is resistant to false powdery mildew (RM3), fusarium, verticillium wilt, and stem and head rot, significantly reducing yield loss risks and enhancing production stability. Recommended for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Steppe. The hybrid adapts well to changing weather conditions and is suitable for use in Clearfield production systems, enabling effective weed control with the herbicide Euro Lightning. Due to its characteristics, MAS 87IR is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high and stable sunflower yields with high oil content.
