Phlox RUBY-FACED

A Legacy of Horticultural Research

The 'Rumyany' phlox is a testament to the rigorous breeding standards established by the Federal Research Center for Horticulture. Developed through the collaboration of FGBNU VSTISP and the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, this variety represents a traditional, reliable breeding school that prioritizes stability and climate adaptation in temperate zones.

Agronomic Profile

Unlike transient modern hybrids, 'Rumyany' maintains the robust characteristics inherent to classic Russian breeding. It is a perennial that, with proper maintenance, serves as a long-term foundation for garden beds. Key technical specifications include:

• Flower diameter: 3–4 cm, providing a dense and uniform floral display.
• Growth type: A hardy perennial with a proven track record of seasonal regeneration.
• Application: Specifically optimized for flower beds, vibrant mass plantings, and decorative garden accents.

The reputation of this variety is built on its resilience. It does not require intensive greenhouse care, making it a preferred choice for landscape designers who value the aesthetic of classic garden architecture alongside low-maintenance reliability.

Strategic Value

For commercial nurseries, 'Rumyany' offers the value of a field-tested variety whose traits were solidified through years of institutional trials. It performs exceptionally well in group settings, where the cohesion of the inflorescence and the overall visual impact of the planting are essential. By choosing this variety, gardeners secure a historically validated plant that reliably contributes to the structure and color of a perennial garden.
