Phlox "Sternimeel" is a tall panicle phlox variety of German selection, known for its hardiness and bright lilac-blue flowers. The blooms reach 3.5–4 cm in diameter, featuring a characteristic dark-pink eye, and their rich blue-grey tones remain vibrant even under intense sunlight.
The plant grows to a height of 40–60 cm and is distinguished by its compact, upright stem. Phlox "Sternimeel" is ideal for creating borders and decorative compositions due to its lush and colorful blooming from July to September. It grows well in both sunny areas and slightly shaded spots, and can also be placed in containers.
Panicle phloxes are characterized by high winter hardiness and durability: they can spread, so they require at least 60 cm of free space around them. With proper care, the plant lives for 5–7 years, but it is recommended to transplant it to a new location every few years to maintain its health and ornamental value. Seeds of the variety are produced by the FSBSI "All-Russian Selective and Technological Institute of Horticulture and Nursery".
