Phlox 'Blue Boy' – a fragrant and popular variety, ideal for flower beds, large gardens, and pathways. The plant grows quickly during the first two spring months, reaching a height of 100 to 120 cm, with sturdy stems, narrow leaves, light veining, and pointed tips.
The 'Blue Boy' flowers feature a rich blue-blue hue that can change tone depending on the time of day: they appear blueish in the morning, and a purplish nuance emerges under bright sunlight. The inflorescences are round-conical in shape, gathered into dense panicle groups with a diameter of up to 4–5 cm. Aromatic five-petaled buds create a pleasant scent that attracts bees and other pollinators.
Flowering is prolonged – from mid-summer to the beginning of autumn (June–September), while the plants remain decorative and attractive throughout the entire period. For successful cultivation, 'Blue Boy' requires a sunny or semi-shaded location, moderately moist soil, and infrequent watering. The variety adapts easily to open ground after spring frosts and grows well in fertile plots.
