WINTER MORNING

Phlox "Winter Morning" – a perennial variety of domestic selection, developed by V.V. Korchagin, V.G. Borisova, and E.A. Konstantinova. Bushes reach a height of 70–80 cm during the flowering period, and the inflorescence diameter is about 4 cm. The flower is white with a light lilac-pink tint; the petals are slightly wavy and raised at the edges, giving the inflorescence an oval and dense structure.

The variety is characterized by strong and robust plant mass, grows quickly, and thrives well in fertile, evenly moist soils. It performs best in sunny or semi-shaded areas where it is protected from sudden winds and midday sun. Phlox "Winter Morning" is drought-resistant, however, lower leaves may yellow under severe dryness, so it is recommended to maintain moderate moisture.

For successful cultivation, it is necessary to annually top up fertile substrate around the base of the bush to cover the renewal buds. Since the rhizome grows vertically upward, this helps maintain the plant's health and extend its life. Phlox can also suffer from fungal diseases, so preventive treatment with fungicides and pruning of shoots in the autumn period help prevent disease outbreaks. The variety is winter-hardy and capable of surviving in one place for up to five years with proper care.

The recommended planting density is 4–9 plants per square meter, depending on specific growing conditions. Phlox "Winter Morning" is perfect for creating decorative compositions and landscape design thanks to its bright color and resistance to adverse conditions.
