Petunia SWAN LAKE

Elegance in Bloom: 'Lebedinoye Ozero' Petunia

The 'Lebedinoye Ozero' (Swan Lake) petunia, developed by the 'Kapris' farm, stands out as a triumph of monochrome aesthetics. In a market saturated with multicolored hybrids, the breeder Vyacheslav Vasilyevich Shepelev chose to focus on purity and architectural stability. This variety is a testament to the fact that sometimes, simplicity is the most sophisticated choice for both professional landscapers and home gardeners.

Key Specifications and Growth Habits

• Size: With a height of 25-35 cm, this petunia is perfectly proportioned for medium-sized containers and garden borders.
• Growth Form: Unlike many sprawling varieties, 'Lebedinoye Ozero' maintains a compact, dense habit that resists falling apart under heavy rain or wind.
• Flower Quality: The petals maintain a crisp, snow-white tone throughout the season, rarely showing the yellow or muddy undertones common in other white petunias.

Applications and Suitability

This variety is highly versatile. Due to its balanced growth, it is an excellent candidate for hanging baskets, balconies, and foreground planting in flower beds. While many foreign hybrids require excessive specialized care, the 'Kapris' farm selection was crafted with better adaptability to varying outdoor conditions. It is the ideal choice for those who value predictability and a clean, elegant look in their garden design.

While no petunia is completely maintenance-free, 'Lebedinoye Ozero' rewards consistent care—specifically deadheading and regular fertilization—with an abundant, long-lasting display. It is the perfect "white anchor" for a mixed arrangement or a stunning statement piece when planted en masse in a container. If you are looking for a reliable, home-grown variety that combines aesthetic purity with resilience, this is a top-tier choice for your seasonal display.
