Hyffae / Hot Pepper

Hyffae F1 is an early, high-yielding hybrid pepper developed by the Dutch breeding company Enza Zaden. This hybrid features a low-growing, lush, bushy plant with a strong root system, ensuring its resilience and adaptability to various growing conditions. Hyffae can be successfully cultivated both in open ground and in greenhouses or under plastic covers, demonstrating excellent plasticity and the ability to form fruits even at elevated temperatures.

The fruits of Hyffae pepper have an elongated-conical shape, reaching a length of about 12-15 cm and a diameter of 2-3 cm, weighing between 35 to 60 grams. During technical maturity, they are dark green, turning into a vibrant fiery-red color upon biological maturity. The fruit skin is shiny and firm, contributing to good storage and transport qualities. The flesh has a spicy, slightly bitter flavor with an intense aroma, making this pepper popular for both fresh consumption and preservation.

The Hyffae hybrid exhibits high resistance to tobacco mosaic virus, significantly enhancing its reliability during cultivation.
