Pepper KUBAT

Field Strategy of the Kubat Hybrid

The Italian breeding program of Bayer Holland B.V. introduces the Kubat F1 hybrid, setting new standards for professional vegetable production. This pepper is engineered for intensive farming, where yield stability under extreme temperature fluctuations is the primary success factor.

Adaptability to Stress Factors

The standout feature of Kubat is its ability to maintain high fruit set even during peak summer heat. Unlike many varieties prone to flower drop under thermal stress, this hybrid shows exceptional heat tolerance. Its root system possesses high vigor, allowing the plant to efficiently extract moisture from deeper soil layers, effectively mitigating the impact of short-term drought.

Phytosanitary Profile and Resistance

The genetic foundation provided by Bayer Holland B.V. ensures comprehensive protection against the most common pathogens affecting solanaceous crops in field conditions. The plant exhibits significant tolerance to Tobacco Mosaic Virus and other viral infections that frequently cause yield losses in hot climates. The robust plant habit provides excellent foliage cover, shielding the fruit from sunscald, which is critical for maintaining high marketability.

Cultivation Insights

Kubat F1 is perfectly suited for open-field cultivation and plastic tunnels. Thanks to its balanced growth habit, the plant is not prone to excessive vegetative development, simplifying maintenance and pruning. The stem is sufficiently rigid to support heavy fruit loads without complex staking, reducing labor costs. Officially registered in Ukraine in 2026, this hybrid is fully adapted to local climatic zones and ready for large-scale industrial production.
