Pepper BEAR CLAW

Why «Medvezhiy Kogot» is a Professional Choice

This pepper variety from the Aelita agricultural firm is a heavyweight in the large-fruited segment. With fruit weights ranging from 400 to 500 grams, it is tailored for farmers targeting the premium fresh produce market. Its indeterminate growth habit requires diligent management: timely staking and pruning in glass greenhouses allow the plant to focus all its energy on developing these massive, rounded peppers.

Practical Applications and Cultivation

• Greenhouse Production: In protected environments, the variety reaches its full potential. The 100–110 day maturity cycle is balanced by exceptional fruit density—with proper fertilization, individual fruits can reach half a kilogram.
• Open Field: The variety shows great adaptability, though in regions with unpredictable weather, trellising is mandatory to protect the heavy canopy from wind and soil moisture.

For agricultural enterprises, the variety is valued for its consistency and market appeal. It serves as an excellent tool for those supplying the HORECA sector, where visual impact and flesh quality are paramount. Despite its size, the fruit maintains decent transportability, making it a profitable asset for supply chain distribution.
