Peony Sniff Roxolan

Structural Dynamics and Floral Architecture

"Sni Roksolany" is a herbaceous peony cultivar developed by the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine. The cultivar’s engineering focuses on balancing a compact growth habit with heavy floral output, resulting in a robust structure capable of supporting large blooms.

Technical Specifications

• Flower Morphology: The double-type (fully double) flower reaches a diameter of 20 cm, utilizing a dense layer of petals that transition from pristine white to soft pink.
• Growth habit: The plant maintains a height between 60 cm and 70 cm. This specific height-to-weight ratio is a design feature that prevents lodging, ensuring the stalks remain upright even during heavy rain or wind.
• Phenology: The flowering period is broad, covering early to mid-season phases from May 15 to June 15, providing a reliable window for commercial cutting and garden display.

Cultivation and Practical Application

From a production perspective, "Sni Roksolany" provides excellent utility as a cut flower due to its structural density and stability. The cultivar is optimized for local environmental conditions, minimizing susceptibility to typical regional pathogens. When utilized for garden aesthetics, the plant’s moderate height makes it an ideal candidate for middle-border planting, where its large, high-contrast flowers act as a focal point without requiring additional mechanical supports.
