Peony MOON PATH

A Breakthrough in Ornamental Horticulture

The 'Lunar Road' (Lunnaya Doroga) peony stands as a rare example of successful integration between fundamental scientific research and applied breeding. Developed through the joint efforts of the 'Taytsy' Agro-Industrial Society and the N.V. Tsitsin Main Botanical Garden of the Russian Academy of Sciences, this Itoh hybrid is the result of years of intersectional hybridization studies.

Unlike traditional herbaceous peonies, this variety demonstrates exceptional stability and the distinct aesthetic characteristics of the ITOH group. Its primary appeal lies in its color palette: the petals feature a sophisticated transition from creamy yellow to white, creating a soft, luminous glow that justifies its poetic name. The simple flower shape highlights the grace of its lines, making it an ideal accent plant for professional landscape compositions.

Agronomic Profile

• Climatic Adaptability: With cold resistance down to -40°C, this variety is highly suitable for demanding climates.
• Phenology: An early-blooming variety (May 15–30), setting the pace for the spring garden display.
• Habitus: A compact 70 cm bush with high stem density and structural integrity, requiring minimal staking.

'Lunar Road' is the preferred choice for gardeners focused on both exclusivity and longevity. Thanks to its low-maintenance nature and hardiness, this hybrid stands as a robust alternative to imported cultivars. Its application in landscape design ranges from stand-alone specimen plantings to structured borders in formal garden areas.
