Pelargonium Flame

Genetic Profile and Breeding Focus

The 'Plamya' pelargonium is a product of rigorous breeding at the Federal Research Center 'Subtropical Scientific Center of the RAS'. Unlike mass-market hybrids, this variety is engineered for phenotype stability and adaptability to specific subtropical microclimates. The originator (FITS SC RAS) focused on high-density inflorescence structure, a critical parameter for high-end ornamental horticulture.

Technical Specifications and Morphology

• Pigmentation: A deep purple hue maintained by a robust anthocyanin complex, ensuring excellent resistance to photo-degradation under high-intensity solar radiation.
• Container Architecture: The plant's vegetative habit is optimized for closed root systems. Its compact stature minimizes the risk of stem lodging, even under heavy floral load.
• Regional Provenance: Developed in the Georgian scientific environment, this variety shows high tolerance to fluctuations in substrate moisture—a decisive factor for balcony and container cultivation.

The operational advantage of 'Plamya' lies in its growth predictability. In intensive container environments, it exhibits uniform development without excessive vegetative spurts, significantly reducing the labor involved in maintenance pruning. The deep purple intensity remains consistent throughout the season, establishing this variety as a reliable choice for professional landscape architects prioritizing durability and color accuracy.
