Description Tatyana
Autumn variety selected at the Rossoshanskaya Zonalnaya Experimental Station for Horticulture. Obtained by A. M. Ulyanishcheva from crossing the varieties 'Lyubimitsa Klappa' and 'Bere Zimnaya Michurina'. Since 1999, it has been included in the State Register for the North Caucasus region. It is poorly distributed, mainly in southern Voronezh Oblast and northern Rostov Oblast.
Trees are vigorous, narrowly pyramidal in youth, and broadly pyramidal or spherical in fruiting. The crown is relatively sparse due to low branch-forming capacity. Bark color of the trunk is dark gray, scaffold branches are gray-brown. Scaffold branches are positioned at acute angles, overall inclined-vertical. Fruit type is primarily ring-shaped, additionally on spur branches and ends of one-year shoots.

Branches are purple-brown, straight, thick, hairless, with medium-sized, poorly noticeable buds. Buds are rounded, triangular, brown.
Leaves are large or medium-sized, egg-shaped, with rounded base and short, weakly twisted apex, finely serrated, wavy margin. Leaf blade is slightly curved upward and bent downward along the central vein. Leaf surface is smooth, shiny, without hairs. Petiole is medium in length and thickness.
Inflorescence — umbel, number of flowers large (9). Buds are white-pink, flowers white, cup-shaped, medium double, medium size (3.5-4.0 cm). Petals have entire margin or weakly lobed. Stigmas are at the level of anthers. Pedicel is medium length. Flowering occurs slightly later than other pear varieties in the region.

Fruits are above-average and large, weighing 154-230 g, pear-shaped, symmetrical, even, with smooth surface. In consumer maturity, main color is golden-yellow, with intensive, diffuse brownish-red covering on most of the surface. Skin dots are small and densely arranged. Peduncle is short, thick, with expanded base, calyx is open, plate is wide, medium depth, ribbed.
Flesh is white-cream, sweet, very tender and juicy. Appearance of fruits is rated 4.5 points, compote quality 4.6 points. Chemical composition of fruits: dry matter content 17.8%, sugars — 10.5%, titratable acids — 0.29%, ascorbic acid — 13.4 mg/100g.
In southern Voronezh Oblast, the variety belongs to the medium-early ripening group. Harvesting maturity usually occurs in early September, consumption period lasts until November-December, lasting 80-90 days. Transportability and marketability of fresh fruits are high. For commercial use, the variety is universal.
Fruits have dessert flavor, suitable for making high-quality compotes.
Begins fruiting at 7-8 years, starting from the year of growth in the nursery. Average yield during the first fruiting period is 144, later 154 centners per hectare. Fruit set is regular, no premature fruit drop.
Winter hardiness of the tree is good. In January 1986-1987, temperature drop to -34єC caused only slight tissue freezing (1.0 point). Resistant to scab. Slightly affected by powdery mildew.

Advantages of the variety: high winter hardiness in southern Central Chernozem zone, good yield, exceptional resistance to scab, high market and consumer qualities of fruits, universality of their use.

Disadvantages of the variety: narrowly pyramidal crown shape and large tree size.
