Paiza «EURIKA» is a mid-ripening grain-forage variety developed by the Samara Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The variety is characterized by high forage stability and resistance to drought, lodging, and prolonged standing on the root, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. Plant height ranges from 104 to 140 cm; the bush is erect with 7-15 stems, which are round-flat. Leaves are widely linear, and the ear is narrowly oblong and slightly drooping at the top.
The forage quality of paiza «EURIKA» is high: the average yield of dry matter is 64.0 c/ha, and seeds - 14.9 c/ha. The mass of 1000 grains is in the range of 3.0-3.6 g, the grain is round and gray without pellicles. The variety is used as green fodder, as well as for the production of dehydrated feeds: hay and silage.
The variety is included in the State Register of Admitted Varieties and is applicable in all regions of the country. It is not affected by known diseases, which confirms its stability and reliability during cultivation.
