Japanese millet Gotika

The "Gotica" hay variety represents a medium-maturing grain-forage type with upright bushes having from one to five round stems. The vegetative period is 57–78 days from emergence to the first cut and 101–126 days to full maturity. Plant height ranges from 97–154 cm.

Key characteristics include an average dry matter yield of 64.7 centners per hectare and seeds of 26.4 centners per hectare. The mass of a thousand grains is in the range of 3.5–4.1 grams. Leaves are elongated and non-hairy, the spikelet is of medium density and 7 to 22 cm long, with awnless ears and brown glumes.

The variety is distinguished by good drought resistance, which makes it suitable for cultivation in conditions of limited water supply. Due to its resistance to drying out and stable yield, "Gotica" is a reliable choice for farmers seeking to ensure high productivity under moderate climatic stress.
