Tannat

Red onion Tannat F1 is a new hybrid red onion developed by the Dutch company Enza Zaden. It has a medium-late maturity period and forms round bulbs of medium to large size with intense dark red color and sheen. The plants are strong and upright, which facilitates cultivation and harvest.

One of the key features of the Tannat hybrid is high density of outer scales and significant dry matter content in the bulbs, ensuring prolonged storage life. According to three-year field trials, this variety demonstrates resistance to thrips infestation, reducing the need for frequent protective treatments and improving crop quality.

Tannat F1 seeds are packaged in 250,000 seed units and are intended for sowing at a rate of up to 0.9–1.0 million seeds per hectare. This hybrid is valued for its stability, high yield, and excellent market qualities, making it an attractive choice for professional growers and farmers focused on producing high-quality red onions.
