Panther F1 Onion is a medium-early hybrid winter bulb onion developed by the Dutch breeding company Hazera. It is intended for cultivation in open ground and is suitable for various agroclimatic conditions in Ukraine. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth, high productivity, and resistance to cold and frost, allowing it to be grown without additional covering. Upon warming, the onion actively forms green mass, does not bolt, and effectively develops bulbs.
Panther F1 bulbs have a round shape, uniform, with dark-bronze high-quality scales. The average weight of the bulbs ranges from 150 to 200 grams, diameter — 75-85 mm. The inner scales are tightly packed, possessing a crisp, juicy texture. The flavor of the onion is moderately spicy with a slight sweetness, making it versatile for use both in fresh markets and in culinary applications, including preparation of summer preserves for winter.
For successful cultivation, seeds should be sown in loose, prepared soil in the second half of August, observing a seeding rate of 1 to 1.5 million seeds per hectare. Panther F1 is characterized by high resistance to bolting in spring and cold tolerance in winter, as well as a well-developed leaf system and strong root system, ensuring stable growth and high-quality harvest.
