Onion MAKARYEVSKY

The MAKARYEVSKY onion variety is a shallot with an elongated, elliptical bulb shape, featuring a pink-purple or dark brown hue with a reddish tint. Individual bulb mass ranges from 22 to 80 grams, with 6 to 8 bulbs forming per cluster. The bulbs are dense, with a slender neck and succulent white scales, ensuring an attractive appearance and ease of use. This variety boasts a synchronized harvest yield and high maturity rate before harvest, reaching 100%.

MAKARYEVSKY is classified as a mid-to-early maturing variety, with a growth period of 50 to 70 days after planting. The onion has a well-defined semi-sharp taste, making it versatile for consumption fresh or as a green. Thin, tender leaves offer a pleasant texture and flavor, expanding culinary application possibilities.

The variety is characterized by high yield and good storability—bulbs maintain their quality for 10-12 months. It propagates vegetatively, allowing a single small bulb to produce up to ten large, high-quality bulbs by the end of the season. Due to these characteristics, MAKARYEVSKY is an excellent choice for cultivation in personal subsidiary holdings and home gardens.
