Louisa onion is an early winter onion hybrid developed by Enza Zaden for super-early harvest. It enables significantly earlier market entry of fresh onions, forming marketable yield at the end of May — beginning of June. Meanwhile, onions can be harvested as cut onions from early to mid-May, allowing for higher market prices in bunches.

Louisa onion bulbs have a round shape with a diameter of 70 to 100 mm, covered with a strong, tightly fitting bronze or golden-colored scale. The average bulb weight reaches up to 100 grams. The hybrid exhibits high growth vigor, ensuring formation of high-quality bulbs without deformities even under dense planting. It possesses good winter hardiness and resistance to bolting, making it a reliable choice for winter cultivation in open ground.
