Onion Arsenal

High-Yield Efficiency for Commercial Production

For large-scale onion production, the 'Arsenal' variety stands out as a reliable and predictable asset. With a growing season of 120–130 days, it fits well into intensive agricultural cycles. Developed by Alexander Agafonov and Igor Baranov, this variety is engineered for high productivity, capable of delivering yields between 70 and 90 tons per hectare under optimal conditions.

Market-Ready Bulb Quality

The variety is highly valued for its consistent market quality. The bulbs are round with a deep red skin, making them visually appealing for retail display. With individual bulb weights ranging from 90 to 140 grams, the crop ensures uniformity, which significantly optimizes post-harvest grading, calibration, and packaging processes.

Long-Term Storage Performance

The true value of 'Arsenal' lies in its longevity. The variety exhibits excellent storage characteristics, lasting 6–7 months under proper climate-controlled conditions. This allows producers to bypass the immediate post-harvest market glut and supply the produce during periods of higher demand, effectively maximizing the return on investment through smarter inventory management.
