Severin F1 cucumber is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid of cornichon-type cucumber, developed by the Dutch company Enza Zaden. This hybrid features a strong and compact plant with short internodes and limited sucker growth, making care easier. Severin F1 is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in polyethylene greenhouses, as well as in the first and second cropping seasons. The plant consistently sets fruit even under insufficient light and low temperatures, without dropping flowers and withstands stressful conditions. The hybrid is resistant to a broad spectrum of diseases, including cucumber mosaic virus and powdery mildew, making it a reliable choice for farmers and gardeners. Severin F1 cucumber fruits are cylindrical, 12-14 cm long, weighing approximately 130-150 g. They are dark green with a glossy skin, without light stripes, covered with small spines and large bumps, ensuring high transportability and post-harvest durability. The flesh is tender, crisp, juicy, and has a distinct pleasant taste and aroma. The length-to-diameter ratio is approximately 3.1:1, characteristic of cornichon-type cucumbers.
