Cedrik

Cedrik cucumber is an early, high-yielding hybrid of the cornichon type, developed by the Dutch seed company Enza Zaden. The plant is strong, semi-open type with a powerful and well-developed root system, ensuring resistance and stable fruiting both in summer and autumn periods. Cedrik forms 2-4 fruits per leaf axil, contributing to high yield and even fruit distribution on the plant.

The fruits of the Cedrik cucumber are cylindrical, 12-14 cm long, weighing 130-150 g, with dark green skin without light stripes, giving them an attractive market appearance. The fruits are firm, well-spined, with a large-buckled surface, ensuring excellent taste and versatility in use. The cucumbers are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for processing, including canning, pickling, and culinary use.

The hybrid is characterized by rapid and stable fruit set, high resistance to fruit drop even at high temperatures, as well as prolonged and even fruiting period. The Cedrik cucumber withstands transportation well and retains its market appearance for a long time, making it popular in fresh markets. Recommended for cultivation in plastic greenhouses during the first and second crops, as well as in open ground.
