Melon Dina

Dyna melon is an early or very early ripening variety with a vegetative period of 70 to 88 days, depending on growing conditions. The plant is vining and requires training for optimal fruiting, as fruits form on lateral shoots. To encourage branching, it is recommended to pinch the plant after the fifth leaf, leaving several vines, which contributes to increased yield and fruit quality.

Dyna melon fruits have a broadly elliptical or round shape with smooth skin of yellow or mustard-gold color, covered with a medium-density and thickness net. Fruit weight ranges from 1.8 to 4 kg, depending on growing conditions and fruit shape. The flesh is of medium thickness, ranging from white to creamy-yellow, featuring a tender, juicy, and melting structure with a very sweet, balanced flavor and distinct aroma. Due to these qualities, the melon is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing.

The variety boasts good transportability and heat resistance, allowing it to maintain marketable qualities for 24-30 days after harvest.
