Description Narachena Pivnochi
Lucerne of the variety Narachena Pivnochi is a yellow, sickle-shaped, perennial leguminous grass widely used in agriculture as a forage crop. This variety is characterized by high perenniality, winter hardiness, frost resistance, and resistance to adverse environmental conditions. Due to good regrowth in spring and after mowing, Narachena Pivnochi ensures a stable and high yield of green mass, reaching 51.1–60 tons per hectare, with a seed yield of about 0.2 tons per hectare. The forage crop can be productively utilized for up to eight years.

The forage value of Narachena Pivnochi lucerne is high: it contains 21.8% protein, 3.7% fat, 25.2% fiber, and 9.5% ash in dry matter. The energy value (BEE) is 39.9%, which gives the feed high nutritional value and makes it particularly useful for livestock feeding. The content of feeding units per kilogram of dry matter reaches 0.84 kg, which promotes efficient use of the crop in forage production.

The variety is recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe and Polissia regions of Ukraine; it is suitable for various soil types and climatic conditions. Lucerne Narachena Pivnochi not only provides high yields and quality feed for animals but also contributes to improving soil structure and fertility through its extensive root system. This makes it an important crop in crop rotation and ecological crop production.
