Description NIKOLUSHKA
Nikolushka – a low-growing decorative honeysuckle shrub reaching up to 60–70 cm in height, featuring a dense canopy and thin, upright shoots. Leaves are oval-shaped and a light green color, while the berries are spindle-shaped, dark blue with a slight bluish glaze, turning a rich azure color when ripe. Each berry weighs about 1.3 g, and on average, one bush yields 3 to 5 kg of berries per season.

The variety is distinguished by high frost resistance and excellent immunity to pests and diseases, making it easy to care for: it withstands winter frosts without additional covering. Berries ripen as early as June, and the bush begins to bear fruit after three years of life. Thanks to its versatility, the berries can be consumed fresh or used to make compotes, jams, juices, and frozen.

Nikolushka is not only a source of delicious berries with a sweet-and-sour aroma and a slight strawberry undertone but also a decorative element for a plot. The bush can serve as a fence due to its compact shape and dense canopy. For improved pollination, it is recommended to use it in combination with varieties like Lazurnaya, Kamchadal, Golyuboy Vereteno, or Torda.
