SAKHALIN FIRST

Gumi «Sakhalin First» – is a high-yield decorative shrub that grows up to 2 meters in height and has a wide crown of approximately 1.5 m. The leaves are elliptical: bright green on top, with a silver tint on the bottom, adding special decorativeness to the plant throughout the year. The shrub does not require formative pruning and is self-pollinating, making it suitable for gardeners who appreciate simplicity of care.

In June, the shrub is covered with a large number of yellow flowers with a delicate aroma, which attracts bees and bumblebees. Fruiting begins in the 3–4 year after planting. The berries have an elongated shape, change color from green to rich red, and are decorated with silver spots. The inner pulp is juicy and aromatic, with notes of persimmon and fig; at full ripeness – especially sweet.

Gumi is rich in various vitamins, microelements, and 17 amino acids. The plant grows well on moist soils, independently enriches them with nitrogen thanks to symbiosis with root bacteria. The shrub rarely gets sick, is resistant to pests and does not require frequent fertilizing, which makes it an ideal choice for those looking for a decorative and useful plant product.
