Description

Salat Justina is an early-maturing head lettuce variety with high taste qualities and a long shelf life. It forms light green or bright yellow-green heads of round shape weighing from 300 to 400 grams. The lettuce heads are tender and not too dense, making this variety particularly attractive for fresh consumption. Justina is resistant to powdery mildew and bolting even at high temperatures, ensuring a stable yield in various climatic conditions.

This variety is suitable for growing in open ground in spring, summer, and autumn, as well as in early spring film greenhouses. The vegetative period from germination to technical maturity ranges from 40 to 75 days depending on growing conditions and region. Justina lettuce seeds germinate at temperatures from +3 to +4°C, while the optimal temperature for growth is in the range of +15-20°C. To obtain a stable and continuous harvest, it is recommended to sow with an interval of 12-15 days starting from early spring and repeating until the end of May, and for autumn harvest—in August.

Salat Justina does not require special care, however, it is sensitive to overcrowding, so timely thinning of plants is necessary. The recommended planting density is 15-20 plants per square meter. The best results are achieved when growing on light, nutrient-rich soils. Due to its unpretentiousness and high yield, this variety is excellent for both amateur and commercial cultivation.
